Re-read the rule. I'll break it up a little more for you to help understand the intent.

This is what's going to be investigated: All on track body contact (including contact during drafting) that causes:
- a car to act erratically and results in a change in position
-----OR-----
- a car leaving the course

The intent here is to permit bump drafting, but still prohibit contact that upsets another car or moves it off track.

So "a change in position" would not actually mean improving your position or passing a car as a result of the bump?

Jason-
This is a tough rule to write to still protect people from getting bounced out of the way but allow for bump drafting. The key is if the car is caused to act erratically, which IMO will be viewed as moved or upset or caused to lift, etc. Don't overthink it. You can push your buddy, just don't push him off the track or move him out of the way so you can get by.

Very easy to over-read it. Now hopefully us bump drafting newbs are skilled enough to figure how to do it.

Agree!

Reads like bump drafting is fine to me, just don't hit them like you hit the VW in Kettle Bottoms and you are good to go. :p

(sorry, too easy to pass up, and completely typed in jest :) )

Shorter explanation. Don't hit them in the corner of the bumper, in any corner on the track, no "slam drafting. That means: easy connecting with the bumper at very little speed differance. No "punting them forward"

All on track body contact (including contact during drafting) that causes a car to act erratically and results in a change in position

That and is very important.
If it said or,you could bump draft by somebody else and get penalized
