Runoffs H Production

Congrats, Greg. I haven't seen it mentioned, but that was an awesome pass for second; I didn't think you were going to pull it off.

Outstanding job Greg, you da man.

Now tell me HTH you apply that soap to your windshield to keep it so clear. Are you still running a glass windshield?

Did I see Brian Redman's Cat run across the track ?!?!

Congratulations Greg !!
Do you mean the little critter darting across the track before turn 12 on lap 4?

I saw that and it reminded me of the ALMS race from this year at RA when they were discussing the Forza video game and taking a virtual lap of RA. They commented about how realistic the graphics were getting and then Johnny O'Connell (one of the announcers) said 'yeah all they need now to make those game more realistic is to have one of those gophers run across the track during your race"

I feel kind of bad. Lawrence Loshak & I talked Mike into going out on slicks... Thought was if Mike could keep it on the track for three laps, the track would come to him and he'd be sitting pretty. Trouble was the track never really dried. No 4th gear & a munged-up exhaust didn't help.

In-car video part 1 is up on You-tube.

So to review, Greg made a pass at THE KINK (in the wet) on the first lap, and THEN passes on the outside of the carousel for the lead?????? Are you kidding me....... :applause: :applause: :applause:
You forgot two wheels in the grass going up the hill into turn 6 to take second

Greg did a great job, continuously running the true wet line which as some know is outside the carosel. Outside T6, outside T7, outside T8, outside the carosel & on & on. Get the rough stuff that has not been smoothed or smeared with rubber from dry laps. You got-ta to believe, correct Greg. :applause: Not to diss Greg one bit but a few others including Justin Pritcherd in E production ran the same line. :applause:

I just want to add another congratulations to the pile Greg.

You prepped well and drove well all week, and on Sunday you raced great. Definitely a well earned honor. Nice work National Champion.

:applause: Greg, Congratulations. Fun to watch the in-car from both 1st and 2nd place. I made the same observation about the pass at 'the kink'....Nice drive both of you.

In the dry.. How are you taking THE KINK? That is an amazing turn.

Cant believe how much speed you carried through the carousel lap after lap. On speedcastTV it looked quick but from the in-car it was even more enjoyable to watch.

:applause: :applause: :applause:

In the dry, it's flat out for all of us...just like Sargis here:

If you lift you loose the draft.

Greg, Thanks for sharing and using Steve to demonstrate. What are you carrying for speed at that point? It looks daunting yet has nice flow through the corner to maintain speed off the carousel and into Canada...

I have to get to RA soon.

According to my data aquisition, I'm seeing 106-107 at turn-in in the dry. Even though you are flat, you'll lose 1-2 mph just due to tire scrub.
You have have to be so smooth to minimize scrub....while at the same time you have to ignore the walls.

FWIW - the biggest rush I ever got was working as a flagger at the Kink for CART when they ran there. They were doing 175+ and were flat out!
