Come on guys, don't wait to see who else is coming before you sign up. If you are waiting and your other competitor is waiting, none of you will show up because you were waiting on each other to sign up. You can always cancel if plans change. MiDiv can't afford another loss event!

Total entries are currently only 27, any one else looking to come please sign up. You can play at the track and back out if needed.

possible to do 1/2 test day?

From the welcome eMail:

If you are interested in a test session on Friday, August 17 or RV electrical hookups, please contact George at Motorsports Park Hastings directly at (402) 461-8031 or george@racemph.com. The test day is not SCCA sanctioned. George will be having a no cost test time for SCCA entrants from 4 -6 pm on Friday. Call George for more info.

Looks like I will not need the cool suit after all. Suppose to be upper 70's and lower 80's. After this summer it may feel cool outside. Lael said all the camper spots are spoken for this weekend but a lot of good spots in the paddock left. Could use some more HP cars. Looks like Jon is making the trip over from CO after all.

Free testing on Friday may last from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm depending on how things turn out. Lael said about 40+ people showed interest in the free test on Friday late afternoon.

Talked to George and only 3-$100 electric spots along pit wall left, too rich for my blood this weekend.

Are the non-electric spots first come-first taken or is there some type of paddock setup? I'd like to be at the concession end so I'm near Lamkin and Priller/Prather. Not sure where the "premium" paddock spots are.

Does the concession stand sell ice as I won't have my mini fridge this weekend.

Anything else I need to know?

Thanks, looking forward to racing against someone in my class.

Glad to see fuel prices are going up everyday, I must have a trip planned.

Thanks,
Jon

I believe they have ice for sale at the concession stand but there is also a truck stop right down the road a 1/2 mile.

The paddock is normally setup north/south with 2 rows and then the RV spots along the north armco. There are 59 entries so the paddock should not be too bad. It is normally first come first served but if you have friends they should be able to save space. How big of a space do you need?

The tire guys are normally in the North West corner of the paddock and that is where fuel is also located. Last year they pumped it from 55 gallon drums. I believe the truck stop also has "premium" pump fuel for the guys use it.

If coming from the north off I-80 there is a by pass that takes you around the north and east side of Hastings that comes in right by the track.

Here is the bypass on Google maps.

Thanks Ron,

Lamkin had mentioned the bypass, so thanks for the map. Nothing worst than driving around a strange town with a truck and trailer.

I have a 28' trailer and a 20'-22' box truck. If I can get at the 59-62 end that would be ideal.

My only transportation once I get there is my bicycle so I'll stop and get ice.

I'm getting flack for not supporting my local region, but sometimes you need to step out of your comfort zone. I made alot of changes to the car so I hope they work.

As a close friend told me "Racing nobody isn't really racing, it's driving around really fast." It will be nice to have a couple cars in my class.

Free 4 hours of dyno time and on my dyno and includes lunch and drinks... Call it the SD MPH contingency program.
First one to meet requirements wins. Just a little motivation to keep it interesting! Just do the following:

1. sign up for FP at MPH national this weekend.
2. Beat Prill on official results (and he finishes on Lead Lap)...
3. Non transferrable, has to be scheduled in advance
4. Prill is eligible, but has to win both days. after all he's in a mazda

:D :)
All in fun! come on Bob and Chuck... make me proud!

If anyone is dismounting 215-15 Radial Slicks this weekend please check with me. I may need them. Thanks.

I wish I could make it... I signed up, but I'm not going to make the trip. I'm doing all three nats this year (solo, runoffs, rallyx) and I need to "engine up" the solo car.

I'll be watching! Could be interesting up front! :applause: :applause: :applause:

As I understand it, it was a small "oops" when the event setup on-line. The printed supplemental regulations are correct. The SRFs are in group 4.

Kelley, the supps show the SRF's in group 6. Originally it showed them in group 4 until a couple days ago.

Do they usually do a split start with the SRF's?
