I can't imagine how badly all of you MiDiv guys would kill me at HPT.

Hey, I made the tow to Mid-Ohio last year with a brand new car. I wasn't scared

I am officially registered also.

So Kevin is next and it appears to me that Master PoRill just called you out!!

If Kevin comes to Memphis then we can put pressure on Master PoRill to support MIR also??

Not this year! All my travel budget is going toward TWS and the Colorado swing that includes Pueblo and HPR. Last year, I went east. This year, I go west.

You at least knew the track. All I know about HPT is what I saw on old Runoffs telecasts.

I think the only way that would happen is if my car wasn't ready for Road Atlanta. Gotta leave three weeks from today, and I'm slightly nervous about it. A lot of work still needs to be done. Road Atlanta works well for me when it comes to breaking new stuff in and giving it a solid test, as I know the track well. Yet if I can't make it there, I'll be looking for another option, because I'm not waiting until late April to see wether or not this stuff works.

I can't imagine a track not wanting to do a test day. New owners, operators, what gives? Tell them to call me and I'll explain the ecconomics and allay the fear of no early entry.

I'm locked in, assuming I finish my suspension repairs :boohoo: , body work is done.

Now I'm looking for a some EP competition. I heard Rumors that Kevin Grant was going to show up, how about the Charlie Clark and his gang of 7s.

The more E's the merrier.

Kevin,

Food for thought. Is the race in Atlanta a Double National? If not then the Memphis Double would be a great option, and I think there might be some competition there. ;) Not saying there won't be in Atlanta, but .......

Should be a great grouping with the E cars Mr. Tucker, you might have some F cars buzzing around in your rear view. :)

I'm not sure if Charlie Clark monitors this forum, but I wanted to know if you are you bringing you truck to Memphis? I'm sure I'm going to need a set.

Thanks,

Don

I called Mike at Competition Tire West and they did not know who will be the GoodYear tire dealer for the Memphis Race.
--Here is Charlie's number at KC Raceware - 816-257-7305

I just talked with Mike again at Competition Tire West. His suggestion would be to "shoe-up" before the race. At this point there is no plan to have a GoodYear truck at the track.

Steven,
Thanks for registering. Right now Don is at a "company meeting" in Orlando, FL. But I am sure he will be happy that you are coming down for our race. Cya in a couple of weeks.

Aaron,
We have a board meeting tonight and I plan on going in with an attack plan to get the test day sanctioned. Wish me luck. Every driver that I have talked to wants this test day.

GOOD NEWS!

On Friday March 30, 2012 there will be an SCCA sanctioned test day. I am not quite sure of the times yet but it will probably start at either 8 or 9 am and run through 5pm with an hour break for lunch at noon. The groupings will most likely be "closed wheel" and "open wheel" with SRF in the open wheel group. I am not sure of the time length of the sessions at this time. The cost will be $150 for all day and $100 if you start after lunch. No pre-registration, just pay at the track when you get there. Race Chairman, Bud Brazelton, will be collecting money and I will perform tech. More information will follow as it comes available.

Thanks a million Phil
