David-

Race Monitor is an app for Droid, iPhone, iPad, Windows 7 mobile devices. Need to go to your app store to download it. It's not something you can see on the Internet. If you went to race-monitor.com, that's where the timing people go to set up their events and stuff.

Practice was in very hot conditions (mid-90s) with a greasy track.
About 30 minutes before our Q1 session at the end of the day the temps dropped 10-15 degrees and that helped alot but times were still slow.

Eric, I figured the wireless deal out after raeding a bit more on the race-monitor site.

Brian, Tom Maycock of the Chicago region posted junesprints.co site on the Spec Miata site & I watched live.

Thanks guys

Eric you'll understand this fully, I'll be at the Sprints Sat. with my 8 year old granddaughter. She hangs with her dad at the midget shop on most Sat. & at the midget track on Sun. evenings. This week her dad, the crew chief & driver are touring Indiana doing a different track each evening from Wed. through Sun.

Decided to take today and hang out with family and enjoy some vacation, rather than battling with an insane performance differential across this run group. Had enough of that yesterday - no such thing as a clean lap. Looks like I went even further backwards today. Oh well, lets get to the racing.

No idea. I haven't been at the track since about 6pm yesterday. Haven't even seen a grid from yesterdays qualifying. Nothing on mylaps or the June Sprints website yet.

A serious incident in the previous race group (FA, FC, FM) shortened the prod race to 10 laps. There was a FCY for a lap or two. Peterson (89FM) got airborn and barrel rolled on pit wall according to a friend who was crewing and saw the incident.

Prod results.....

Wild, crazy race!
I was 2nd, 1st, 4th, 3rd, and 2nd....and that was on the first lap!

Albin led early. I managed to get an EP car between Origer and myself in turn 8.
Origer spun and had contact with Moser dropping both cars back.

I managed to catch up to Albin when he got balked, and then squeaked by a few laps later when his ECU coughed.

The pace car came out for a few laps due to Griesinger who spun off at 12 in an impact area.
Moser had worked his way up the 2nd by then but there were several EP cars between us.
On the restart, I did everything I could to keep traffic between us, while fighting my way thru slower EP cars myself.

On the last lap I got balked in the Carousel and the Kink, and I was a sitting duck for Moser who passed me well before turn 12.
My only chance was to hope that the same car would balk Moser coming out of 14, so I backed off and got a huge run on both cars....
but I carried just a bit too much speed into the corner and took a long, wild ride thru the grass.

My camera got messed up from the wild ride and I was only able to save the first few laps before the FCY.

I have not heard any updates on how the SRF driver that was involved in the big wreck in the Kink in the morning Q session is doing.

I 'watched' the live T&S a lot all three days and there was quite a few sessions that were compromised by incidents. Of course, the feed doesn't say what happened so I have no idea what's what for any particular session. When you see the time ticking up and no lap times being accumulated, it leads to the mind working overtime on what caused it.

I'd actually say that this was a very clean weekend. While all crashes are bad, the srf qual crash was "bad" and resulted in almost a 90 min delay and a life flight. We heard over the pa that driver is doing well. T boned at speed after a multi car dust up.

The monsoon on the big wings sat afternoon certainly didn't help things.

I thought the operating and chief stews did a fantastic job.

Conversely, the Sm race was super clean and really tight from turn 5. The FCY at the end was unfortunate.

As always, lots of highs, some lows, and a lot of rubber laid down with some great racing.

Updates on the driver from the SRF site:
http://www.specracer.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=323

Also, the wreck on the front straight during the FA/FM right before our race was pretty scary.
A FA car missed a shift and two FM cars touched trying to avoid. One got airborne and upside down and rode the wall. The photo on the Apex site (logon required) is unreal.
If you ever needed to know why the grid workers don't let you out by the inner pit wall for a start...this is why.
Driver was okay and actual drove later in the afternoon in the GT1 race.

Where can I find results? Not on My Laps, can't Google them. Can anybody post a link?

Kevin, I blew Saturday off too...Went to the Indy Car race at the Milwaukee Mile and my Daughters Fastpitch Softball tournament. It was a nice break, and I missed the Monsoon
