Matt93SE Make sure you get the 3/8" stuff. don't want it to come loose again! don't worry about the wind resistance or flexibility.. ;)[/quote:1dau43g3 said:
BUT, you could go first class, aero clean & locks included. 8)

Please, appreciate the beautiful sleek design, don't look at the cost.

[shameless OT plug]
I have a set of Aerocatch latches without the locks- brand new in box- if someone wants them.

I could use them, send details to kendall.jones at gmail.com :)

David,

The True Value connection is what I'm looking for with green plastic covering.........but our local TV doesn't carry it in 1/16". I'll check out any True Values I happen to run across. Thanks everyone! Jay

Both vinyl and heat shrink tubing (once shrunk) are a bit rigid. A better alternative might be the woven/braided (fiberglass) insulation sleeveing. Only available in black (I think). McMaster-Carr.

But Jay has his heart set on green.

Green must be for Lutz "bucks"...

Read a 50th aniv. book of 500 last summer...(50 cents at library, in a "getting rid of printed books" sale....didn't have any GCRs, tho....)

From that source:

In the beginning: all races were started with RED flags....

Makes one wonder why the change... and how what seems factual since forever, might not be....

Think I have some short clear coated cables...how long do you need? or is Clear just not acceptable? Mine are left overs...didn't want the pins beating on hood if tethered to it...

(Just what IS this for, with your RACE car for sale??????????????? Must say this journey has been lengthy...as previous poster pointed out...not even snowing outside yet.....)

Okie

I'm golden..........thanks for the help everybody. At least I know what I recall existing, actually exists.

Jay, I just use .32" safety wire, and twist it the proper length, and attach it to the base of the post.

Works like a champ, and is cheap as anything.

You can see from this picture

The .032" safety wire solution is decent....I have some small 1/16" OD tubing I could slide over it. Still like the green color though. ;^(
