Tire pressure monitoring system

Is anyone using an aftermarket tire pressure monitoring system?

I've been thinking about getting one for the truck and trailer.

Any pros or cons with different types?

Thanks,
Jon

I've been using the PressurePro tire monitor system for almost 10 years and it has saved several tires that were suddenly losing air. It alarms, shows you which wheel, and displays the pressure so you can decide how soon to stop. The sensors screw onto the valve stems, so installation is quick and easy. Programming and readout is from a small unit that is powered by 12 v. The only negative is that the sensors use a sealed battery that will die in about 5 or 6 years (maybe improved in more recent models), and replacement of the sensor is the only option and a significant expense.

Jon-
I bought one after I lost a tire on my motorhome. Here's what both Jesse and I run--on all six tires on the tow vehicle as well as the four on the trailer:

I've been happy with it. The batteries need to be in good condition. Recommend replacing each one each year so they are hot and have a good signal. This system, they are just a battery like the old robic stop watches, which are available at Walmart, etc.
