sensor check

I'm using the early Electromotive ignition on my Sprite and am having a loss of fire to the plugs. Does anyone know of a way to test the crank sensor?

The resistance between the red and black wires should be 600-800 ohms if the sensor is good. I would check first

Ok, I hooked up my ohm meter an the reading was right the high limit of resistance. So I decided to apply some heat to simulate engine heat and reading went up as expected but when the meter read around 700 ohms the reading dropped to 95. Tadaaa. Bad sensor. Thanks all.
