Removing 1275 camshaft with engine in car

Can anyone point me to a write up on removing the camshaft from a 1275 engine while the engine is in the car? I saw it last night but now I can't find it. Has anyone tried this? The author used magnets to hold up the tappets while the cam was removed. Thoughts?
Thanks

IMHO - the amount of time it would take to rig something up would make it worth just pulling the motor and doing it properly.

Never done it and wouldn't think of doing it. By the time that you have pulled the head you are almost there. One slip and you have to take the motor apart. Pull the motor - its good practice for when you are at the track.

Not to mention the fact that if you are changing the cam, the followers may need to be changed anyway. Was the cam worn or are you replacing it with a new one? In both instances you need new followers. That is assuming this is a race motor. if it is for the street, then maybe that makes more sense.
