RA tire wear vs budgets

Folks,

I'm wondering how RA is on tires. I have a limited tire budget (don't we all), but don't want to show up without enough tires to get through all the sessions.

I'm running the Monday test day to learn the track, hopefully on the 2 used sets I have left from Hastings. One set is about half worn, the other set one tire is pretty worn out and the others are more than half worn.

I don't see how I will make it through three 90 minute sessions with what I have, so I'll plan on coming in and doing some tire temps or whatever. I'm afraid I may not have enough left to go back out the third time, but that's all I have.

After that, I'm thinking I'll buy one new set to share among the three qualifiers, one more new set for the race, and I am replacing my rains with the H20's.

I wish I could afford a new set for the test day, and a second new set for the last qualifier, but I can't afford 5 new sets of tires (inc rains) any time soon.

Given my constraints, is RA going to chew me up and run me out of tires, or do you guys think I'll be OK?

Thanks in advance,

I found it very easy on tires. Long straights to cool everything down.

My thoughts exactly. The LR gets loaded up in the carousel and the high speed RH corners (1, 3, 14) but thats no big deal.

Bill, maybe you can connect with someone that has some used for free. One who gets cheap tires from the manufacture. Contact the guys from Runoff event entries.

Are you on Hoosier or GoodYear.

Mondays test day is 3 - 30 minute sesions, 90 minutes total. Including outlap and inlap about 20 minutes.

I thought it was good on tires if the car has a good setup.
