The Northern New Jersey Region will be conducting the Joe DeLuca and Linda Gronlund Freedom Major at Pocono Raceway on Memorial Day weekend (29-30 May 2021). There will be qualifying and a 14 lap series races on Saturday followed by warmups and 22 lap races on Sunday. Online registration is now open on MotorsportReg

There will be an optional SCCA Test Day on Friday, 28 May.

The Joe and Linda Major will use the North-South Combined Course. This 2.25 mile course utilizes the road sections of the North and South road courses, NASCAR Turn 2 and parts of the Long Pond straight and Pit straight.

Last year, after a short track race at Jennerstown Speedway, Toni and I visited the 9-11 Memorial where Joe and Linda's plane crashed. There were quite a few people there that day and I will say Toni & I were in tears along with many others by the time we finished walking through the exhibit. Both of their pictures are displayed along with all the other patriots on that flight. May we never forget their bravery and their sacrifice that fateful day.
