What's intersesting also is the number of spridgets in the photos. About as plentiful as SMs these days.

I see the production cars ran with the sports racers then too. Love the pace cars: 1950s MB 300SL, Lotus Eclat and a Mustang II. Also like seeing tall uncut grass as a saftey barrier instead of tire walls/berms like we have now.

Nice photos. I saw Jim Harrison's Spridget, as well as Randy Canfield in the same car he is still racing to this day.

I also saw some interesting views of the track, as well as what were once bushes that have now grown into full size trees.

Good to see that they did as nice of a job cutting the grass then as they do now. Some things never change.

Way cool photos ,made me look at mine from 1977 i took and old program guides i have.Forgot how weedy the track was turn ten looks odd as does Turns 5 thru 7 ! Group 44! been ages since i last saw them race.Thanks for the link.Sprman : )
