Muffler for rotary

My rotary exhaust has a 'box of rocks' muffler. It is always comfortably under the sound limit. Having said that, I'm looking to reduce weight of the car (it's WAY over minimum). This might be a place to get several pounds out of it.

Please advise what brand & model muffler (or mufflers) you use successfully on a rotary for sound purposes. Weight of same?

Also, if insight is available, has anyone done HP comparisons for different sound compliant mufflers?

Thanks,

Bill

Mazdaspeed sells a stainless packed exhaust for about $300. They last about 5-6 years on my car. 98 db new, 101-102 in the last years.

I use a Borla Sportman/ oval case from Summit BOR 40944 w/ 3" in and out

used at the rear- always about 93-98 depending on track- $139
