msd 8728 soft touch rev limiter

anyone have an old school msd soft touch rev limiter (pill type) they could part with?

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the reply and apparently the search through your storage unit. However, I need the 8728 that works with OEM or points ignition. The 8738 says it's for MSD 6T, 6TN or 6HVC units and that would not be my application. So again thanks, but I can't use the 8738, I need the 8728.

Maybe I will find my old MSD book and find out more info (since there web site is on the sucky side)

This came off my 72 Opel GT and it had points but it was hooked up to my MSD 6 pn 6446

What do you need a rev limiter for if you are running points, I found that they worked fine as a rev limiter in the Volvo when they started floating. 8)
 
Good point Les!

No I have an "improved" system, an EI stator-reluctor distributor, though still "stock".

I think I might have found my problem though....a loose negative post cable inside the battery box!
