Mid Ohio Double National June 1-3

Can't wait for this! EP, FP, HP, & GTL all in their own race group. Super Tour, Super Sweep, dinner and a party Friday and Saturday night, and no nickel and diming you to death like what has become the norm at way too many events in recent years. Oh yeah, and it's Mid Ohio! 8)

Just entered both races. I have a track day the week before to shake down the fresh engine.

I'm in too. Its been an interesting winter. For once the car is ready to go (well I gotta put the wheels on and take it off thew stands), we get really warm weather and I DON'T HIT THE TRACK FOR ANOHTER TWO MONTHS!!!! Other years we have snow and crap for another few weeks and I'm still working on the car so its no big deal to have to wait until May. But GLDiv's first race is in June. Oh well......

Lets get the HP numbers up folks. Feller, Crisenbery, Brannon, LaFond, Stiner, Vickerman, DeRonne, Hylton, Dill, Johnson, Bartell, Kelly, Eichelberger, Albin, Gauper, Ux, Stanford.....where are you? C'mon folks, lets get it on. More HP cars than EP cars for a change.

Dayle-

Come to Hallett.

Kevin-
I'll be there, but sans car. You won't have this guy to kick around this year!

Greg Gauper:

Are you going?

I seem to remember someone wanting some junk 948 cranks delivered.

Let me know.

R. J. Sorensen

Yes I am planning on running but won't know if my work schedule will allow it until mid-May.
Ron,
I should know a few days before the BHF National.
Definitely looking forward to running M-O again!

Eric,
I grew up in OK and would LOVE to race at HMRC. I worked Pits/Grid there from 79 to 90. All that being said, at $4.25+ a gallon for diesel and a 1000 mile trip (each way), the immortal words of Mr. Ruck come to mind. But I can see that as a 'bucket list' situation in a couple of years.

You know you guys can't let an Integra beat Miata's and 7's at a "handling" track again, right? Because when that happens, it tears a serious hole in Prod parity internet arguments, and we can't be having that!

Right now I am signed up as an SOM but would love to race. Unfortunately with so few Regional races in the area before this one we don't have a chance to rent out our car(s) for entry fee for me. :(

Kevin,

"it tears a serious hole in Prod parity internet arguments" There is no tearing going on when asking for parity. Mid Ohio is not Road America. A top notch Lotus 7 driven well should give you a good test at Mid Ohio. The problem is Mid Ohio is not the Run Offs track. A lot of folks wish it was but it is not. A great many other cars do not have a viable chance at RA.

Jerry Hinkle is a friend and I was hoping for you and Jerry to have a great race at Summit. Unfortunately he roached his motor on Saturday and was a no show on Sunday. Great job. Jerry said that you were strong, fast and presice and was looking forward to a great race.

Yes, too bad Jerry had problems with his car, as I'm sure it would've been an awesome race. As for Mid Ohio, it's my home track and where I do all my testing - my car feels more at home there than it does at Road America. Last year four different cars went under the FP record, including two 7's, a Miata, and my car, making for one of the best FP races of the year.

Just registered for this, and can't wait! Entries are continuing to roll in, and the event is shaping up nicely!

Kevin,
I notice that SM has their own group and it only has eight entries in it. Whats the chance you can sweet talk JP into compressing them into Group 1 or 2 and making everyone's day a little shorter?

Dayle

I'll add to Dayle's comment.... Compress SRF and SM into one group AND move the 2nd qualifying for Sunday race for Group 5 to Saturday afternoon instead of first out on Sunday morning...
