MGB build

Hello, I am building my first MGB LP/HP car and am wondering how far I can go within the rules as far as doors? I see some guys with dzus fasteners, and insides completely cut away. Is this allowed within the rules? I thought the rules stated that it needs to be the original stock door, but I have not looked that close as I am just starting this project. I guess I am asking how far can I go and still be legal? Any input/photos would be awesome, thanks!

You need the stock hinges and outer skin. You can gut the inner surfaces. You can dzus the thing closed but there are easier ways to do it.

Send me an email at hdf3.wtr80@gmail.com and I'll be glad to show you pics from my Sprite rebuild a couple of years ago.

Great! E-mail sent.

Be Happy to help... just shoot me an e-mail. My LP HP MGB is fun, fairly quick and typically reliable (although lately I have some nagging clutch issues). Prather motor (135 hp at the crank on his dyno at 6000 RPMs, good torque curve... it is a tractor motor), Jack Knight close ratio gears, Headley front and rear sway bars, a few Leuning (killer B's) trick parts etc...

At some point I'd like to learn more about the upgrades to compare notes. Finally getting my FP car back together!
