Would appreciate any and all information available for any Miata 6 speed manual shifter up-grades folks have read about, have heard about or have implemented in their race cars. Be it prod cars, STL cars or whatever class car. It's my understanding that when shifting the 6 speed manual transmission the close gates are very difficult to consistently arrive in the correct gear shifting up or down. After some missed gears, drivers are concerned they left their engine on the track/ground.
I have read and found info on Miata Roadster's true (changed fulcrum height) short shifter which folks using them say it's a substantial improvement. A couple road race drivers included.
Thanks up front
