Come and join the Des Moines Valley Region at MidAmerica Motorplex (Pacific Junction, IA) for "The Kris Mandt Memorial Rad Rat" Double Rational. It will be a radical Rational weekend - DMVR style!
The floods from last summer have receded and the track surface is in good shape. We were fortunate that the water which covered the track last summer was simply ground water with no place to go. Once the Missouri River level started to drop, the ground water soaked back into the water table. You can definitely tell there was standing water (some of the tirewalls are now brown instead of black), but the racing surface is ready to go. The track staff has been working hard to get everything ready for the season, and they've done a good job!
