Hi everyone (aka "nut jobs who know all sorts of weird info"),
Anyone know of parts sources for true police package Crown Vic brake parts? I'm working on some 2000-2004 police package Crown Vics and I need a source for STEEL type pistons in the brake calipers. I'd be happy to purchase new or rebuilt front and rear calipers with the steel caliper pistons, as the phenolic pistons seem to crumble in the heat in 1-2 days.
Besides the 2000-04s I'm currently working on, we also have 2006-07s coming in. I'd really like to buy from the guru of Crown Vics. If I found him/them, I'd probably buy all of my parts from them.
Also, if someone has specific info on how, and what types of the phenolic pistons do survive the heat, I'd be happy to listen.
