will be at (drum roll and trumpet fanfare) COTA! The weekend after the Grand Am race at COTA and the SCCA Convention.

Track Test and Tune on the 7th
SCCA Practice on the 8th
P&Q/race on the 9th and 10th

Race chair is working on some sponsorships and other ways to keep the entry fee as low as possible. I'll let you know as soon as he tells me.

Damn it! Now I need to rethink my plans for next season. This will be a double as originally suggested, correct?

Hmmm, I'll have to see when Brevard county school board has their spring break scheduled that month. My wife and I have been talking about taking a trip to Austin anyway. I've been wanting to check out the music scene there anyway, BIG Blues fan.

Not too sure she'll buy this though.

Double National and on the schedule as a Super Tour event.

Part of SXSW, the film and interactive will be that weekend with the music part the week after. And there is a Grand Am race the weekend before. You might as well just plan on spending the entire month here.

Being the first week of SXSW, will hotel/motel rooms be available? Won't having it the week after the Grand Am race put a strain on our volunteer workers? I'm all for the race, but wasn't there a better date available?

good point. just looked at hotel rooms and they are already way high with most hotels showing no availability. must be the music festival.
could be a major problem.

Take a look in Bastrop. There are a lot of motels there, and it's not too far away.

Race chair has some rooms blocked in Bastrop and Buda. Not the closest to the track but not way over priced.

Are there shower facilities at the track? It's march- weather will be nice. I'll just sleep on the floor of the trailer as long as I have a place to shower.

I'll have to find out. For you we will set up a tent and garden hose if need be.

lockhart is close enough. I talked with the race chair yesterday and discussed getting the nearby Camper World to do some RV rental with delivery/pickup.

anyone wanting to run Houston event two weeks prior can get rig parking for $25 and shuttle to & from Hobby Airport for a donation to MSR Houston Charaties of suggested $25.

I'd rather see the COTA event as a rational to allow all our members in this first time.
