Flow Bench

I'm looking to add a flow bench to my list of stuff I will never use. I started to home build one but am getting tired of not completing it so I figured I would just buy one and not use it! Obviously cheaper the better and willing to travel to pick up. Superflow would be nice, a 110 or 300 don't want to spend the money for a 600.

It's been said that "He who dies with the most toys wins."

Turns out that was actually mis-heard; the correct word was "tools".

Good luck with the search.

I have used Superflow benches many times and they do fine, but I would go another way. The audie tech stuff is very repeatable and less money. I built this one about 20 years ago. Its basically a vacuum box hooked to an audie flowquik http://www.audietech.com/product/flow-quik Here are some old photos https://www.flickr.com/photos/134252471 ... 6629482743 This was a very good bench for what it cost. The Sf110s never impressed me much for what people used to charge for them. My homemade bench was comparable to the Superflow 300 reading wise and CFM. I tested heads back to back, before I trusted the home made setup. Superflow Flowbenches require calibration also. Like dynos, most dont bother and there can be huge errors so make sure you know what you are testing against. See the "pass around" plates mentioned below.

Bruce Palsgrove has been a friend for 20 years, he has refined his design with help from just about everybody. Even a few big name cylinder head porters use his design. http://www.flowbenchtech.com/ These are way more refined than even the stuff I did 20 years ago. Bruce makes "Pass Around" calibration orifices that are used by just about everyone no matter who made the bench. No joke! It started with some plates to exchange between friends and just exploded from there.
