Earplug Headphones For Radios

Hey guys -

My earphones for the in-car radio shorted out over the winter and I'm looking to replace them. Anyone have any recommendations that aren't too pricey? I'm half tempted to take apart a cheap pair of earbuds and just epoxy them inside foam earplugs...

Thanks in advance -
Jason

You can make your own custom ear plugs using silicon ear plug kits. I got a Radian red kit and a blue kit ( $11.47 each kit with free shipping. Each kit makes 2 ear pieces) and then made one set of standard ear plugs using one half of the red for right ear and blue for left ear. I also purchased a set of mono ear monitors off e-bay for $16.95 (free shipping). I then made a set of custom ear buds from the second half of the red and blue kits. You could get by with one Radian kit and make each side red, blue or any of the other colors from Radian.
