Don't forget to inspect your car throughly over the winter. I mean all of it.

Attached is a picture of a serious crack I found in the right lower trailing arm mount of the rear axle housing. I found it with a casual look-at of the rear suspension.

The picture shows the housing in my shop press which has closed up the crack. When I discovered it, the crack was about 1/4" wide! the other side of the mount is cracked too.

I will re-weld along the bottom and weld a strengthening plate on both sides.

Wow! Is this in a Midget? Is this a fabricated or stock piece?

I agree with inspection, but that was destined to fail with 2 saw cuts going to a point. There should be a radius in that corner to avoid a fracture point. Good thing you found it.
