Does anyone make a decent kit for these or am I better off to just build it myself?

Depends how much you know and truly understand about instant centers, roll centers, roll couples, camber gain, roll axis, etc, etc, etc. for not just the front but also the rear suspension.......ie the chassis system. If you don't consider yourself damned competent (a semi expert) you could easily design your own and artfully fabricate something that will turn a good car into an ill handling back marker POS.
On the other hand it's a fun project that leaves you more $ for cool stuff like expensive shocks.

I am pretty confident I could design and build it but I am hoping somebody has done a nice kit that would get my friend start ed down the right path.

Give Rick Haynes or Rod Hahnemann (Spridgetech) a call. They both have fine setups.

Rick Haynes did ours but it wasn't a kit he custom made it. I know Huffaker used to have kits for Spridgets.
