Only a week away, looks like a solid turnout for all of Prod. Does anyone else think we should ask for a split start, separating Prod from T/SS?

Unfortunately, an entry has to come off of the list. Our tow vehicle got wrecked on Saturday afternoon, so we won't be coming. You all have fun.

How long is your car? If it is shorter than a Yaris we might be able to fit it on our rig.

I like the split start idea. I will send an email to Ceci and/or John Snow.

Split start is OK with me.... them T1 Corvettes are going to get me sooner or later.

Craig, Sorry to hear about the tow vehicle....hope it all gets fixed soon.

Congratulations to Aaron Downey, Brian Linn and Jason Isley for their Production wins on Super Tour Sunday. Well done.

What a weekend, fun, but long and exhausting… We got some great data from the test on Friday at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. Both cars got a spring change, as well as some alignment and tire pressure tweaks, they are faster than ever. However, after a practice session in Jamie Bestwick’s 2012 Yaris I was extremely disappointed to discover that it is faster than my car. Time to give the old number 99 some attention.
On Saturday Bestwick qualified 3rd and had a great battle with Neil Verity, who started second, which allowed me to slip away after staring 1st. They went at it hard, and each of them spent time off the racing surface trying to claim 2nd - this may have been our fault; during dinner Friday night we let Bestwick see the Prill “Pass-in-the-grass video”. Verity eventually fell back, thinking he had hurt a tire while off track, allowing Leroy Shaver to claim 3rd, with Bestwick in 2nd. I stayed out front, and reset the HP record to a 2:10.476 on the way to the win.
Saturday night Bestwick watched some GoPro footage from when I drove his car in Friday practice and found a few areas to adjust his line, improving his Sunday qualifying time by nearly a second, putting him P2 right behind me. The start went well, and for the first few laps it looked like Bestwick was going to challenge me for the lead. That was until he grabbed a handful of neutral going for a shift over Lost Hill, killing his momentum all the way to the Grapevine section. Some traffic eventually got between us, preventing him from catching back up. We finished with Verity 3rd, Bestwick 2nd and me taking the Super Tour win. It was great having a Toyota Yaris 1-2 both days in H Production.
The GoPro team got some great footage this weekend, rumor has it Bestwick made a pit-stop at a local fast food establishment in the 00 car, cant wait to see the next video.

Jason and Jamie (Bestwick) are certainly bringing their "A-game" to every race. Jason really has the Yaris flying with Jamie nipping at his heels. I have some homework to do to catch up but loving the side by side racing. HP is alive and well in California. The Super tour race was a great event with Cal Club putting on a great show. On Sat, I finally sucummbed to Jamie's constant pressure and drove off the track attempting a late-brake, pass SSB car, avoid T1 corvette and turn move.... didn't work so good. Never caught up after that. On Sunday, Jamie maintained his position by squeeking through the inside of turn one at the start and getting some traffic between us.... Took multiple laps to clear the traffic by which time Jamie and Jason were having their own race and were long gone... Hung on for 3rd which meant I got to spray the champagne and feel the burn in my eyes on the podium. Time to clean my suit....

Jason, the white and yellow prod car you past around lap 10 brought new meaning to "pooring on the steam". Everytime he came off a slow corner it looked like he was trying to smoke you out. Concrats on the lap record.

I was surprised they never black flagged him as much as he was spraying. Then he wants to go slow until I get to him and all of a sudden he wants to race, when were not even in the same class.

Saturday's video - nothing special http://youtu.be/gs3QK9HC0Ko
The camera mount was not tight and moved on the first lap. So the video starts as it's moving and I rotated the image - that is why it's in more of a portrait format.

The early part of the race I was chasing the EP BMW of John Longwell, a little "rubbin is racin" after I stuck my nose where it probably didn't belong. That gave me about 1/4" toe in. Not much happens in the later portion of the video.

Will work on the Super Tour Sunday race. Trying to work with iMovie on these. Looks like I need to step up to an HD camera - have been using a GoPro SD, which despite the poor image quality creates large files (1+gig). I guess with the price of memory constantly dropping, I need to re-access what a "large" file is.
