The weather was brutal today.
Mid to upper 90s in very humid air.

Brakke broke something in the drive train and is headed home.
Luening had an issue with his transponder.

Can't tell what happened as I never saw an EP car other than Luening.

Sargis checked out, 2nd overall behind the STU Audi
Wessel made a nice drive from the back (broke an axle in qual) to catch Carrera.

Moser got a clean start and checked out.
I got a terrible start and got swarmed by the STU cars plus the E & F cars that started behind me.
I finally cleared them but by then Moser had a 12 second lead on me. I built up about a 12 second gap over a mini swarm consisting of Keller, two STU's and Gagliardi. Thats when I discovered that the new Hoosier radials are only good for 6 & 3/4 heat cycles...
With 6 laps to go my RF tire was almost corded. It killed my speed thru the critical left hand corners and the pack with Gagliardi caught me with 2 laps to go. I was a sitting duck.

Here's my video from the race. Had a blast dogfighting with the STU guys. It was really HOT and humid for the race although Saturday was worse. The straights were really mogully going into 8 and the back straight. Alot of times i would stay offline on them just to keep from bouncing so badly. Maybe those guys at Autobahn COUNTRY CLUB could scrape up enough for a repaving job.
Congrats to all the winners, Mike Moser got a new HP lap record of 1:39.5 in the CRX. Please excuse the clumsy editing, my first try at submitting video .

Man....part three was real painfull to watch :x

The black STU miata did a heck of a job to recover after his spin in turn 5 to get back up to Wilke.
They looked like they were having a good race.

Yes, that's Bill Wessel driving. He was a G car and is now doing real well in F.
 
Joe allways put a great show on with that car at Summit Point back in the late 70s early 80s!Had not seen it in ages, good to see it still runing good! Sprman 8)
