Just about all the prod cars stayed home. Only one EP car and that was Don Tucker from Memphis, no FP cars and only one HP car, James Wiley who runs SARRC. Everyone missed a beautiful weekend and easy points.
Update on Atlanta 3 EP cars 1 national (Dons miata) 2 regional 240z and a RX7. Don won going away but had shifter problems all weekend, Z and RX7 had a good race till the Z went off in turn 1 and backed it into the tire wall. HP car broke down during the race and DNFd
Jim I might be intrested. I have not got the car to the frame shop yet, the RR corner is completely crushed and whole rear twisted to the right, that said all the real damage is behind the strut tower so I am hopeing all it needs is the right side skin/inner structure and rear pannel with the lights/valence so right now I am looking for a 240 tail clip, till I hear from the frame guys on how much will be needed to fix it and how much it will cost, or if it is beyond repair.
What is the story on the EP car? Email me at michael.langley@mchsi.com . I hope to fix this chassie it was Doug Piners old national car and has an LNA drive trian in it so its plenty fast and well sorted just a slow inexperienced driver. We were in the process of bringing it back up to current national standards so that by the time we were done I would have enough seat time in to be able to compete with the big dogs (at least not get run over/laped by them). I realize that starting a racing career at 53 I never will be a front pack national driver but with the likes of Mr Kellog out there it gives us older geezers somthing to shoot for.
