If the spec line for my car says I can use an alternate cylinder head and manifold, does this mean I have to use them together or can I use one and not the other? I was told by a tech guy that because of the word and in the line that it meant I have to use them together.
 
My guess is the word "and" means they need to be used as a pair. Or else it would have said "or". But, of course, our opinions here mean nothing. Call the tech staff at HQ and ask them.

You might write in and ask for some clarification on some of the SPEC line. It says you can use the formula ford head, but it also lists the allowed valve sizes, which I think are a little bit smaller than the formula ford head valves.

I don't think there is any real advantage to running twin side drafts, rather than a DCNF on the original type manifold. If the head and a particular manifold/carb combination are required, it should say so. If using this head, must also use manifold and carb......

Since very few actually run this car, the rules might not get much attention.
