I just purchased a bunch of RX7 1st gen stuff (an IT car, a (rust free) gutted street roller + spares). One of the extra engines is a 13B but must be newer than 84/5 or early 2nd gen. It has individual coils, no dist hole in front plate and a factory crank trigger wheel. Exhaust ports are rectangular rather than round and there are 3: in the ends & center plate rather than in the rotor housings.

What (year/years) is it?

Sounds like a line out of the Antique Road Show. Although RX8's aren't so antique.
