Does anyone know what kind of cars typically use springs with this ID? It's a real motorsports application since Eibach lists them in their motorsports catalog. Typical coil over springs are 2.5" ID.
I was thinking something like 70's and 80's vintage formula fords. Looking for something around 300 to 400 #/in used..........maybe 8 or 10" free length.
I found this size spring and shock used in older formula cars, sports racers and also on midget oval track cars. Mine came from the world of oval racing and work very well on the new RX-Midget front suspension. I run 300 lb, 10" springs.
Stay away from the AFCO springs. This one nearly cost me a weekend when it broke on the trailer while towing to Summit Point. I was able to find a set of springs at the track to use, even though they were way to soft. I ended up using QA1 (Carerra) springs and they have worked well. The AFCO shocks have been great. Bump and Rebound adjustable and all can be done while driving with controls in the car.
