    Fuel injection

Where is the definition of throttle body injection? If they are not in the intake or head, they must be TB injection. Maybe the trumpets would have to be welded to the carb to be one piece. Kinda like the old days with epoxying the wheel spacers to the wheels.

    Asymmetrical roll bar

In my Turbo jetta chumpcar ( Roadtster, cuz light weight helps things last ) . I doubled the torque over the carb NA version and only picked up 3 mph . I looked into aero auto and came across a bunch of hypermile stuff. They did a lot of coast down aero drag testing. I had access to my...

    Fuel injection

Remove throttle shafts . Attach throttle cable to the top of the piston, like a bike carb . Fit the inlet trumpet with injectors. You will need an RPM signal, map sensor, maybe TPS, Wide band system, one of the many stand alone ECU. There may be an optimal spray direction for the...

    Fuel injection

Is anyone working on this yet? I can help engineer it /tune it . All I see is a naked carb body with the piston as the throttle slide( no shaft or plate) and an injector spraying into the venturi . That still fits the rule as its written at this point .

    In need of Electromoti XDI

Ive changed a few to Microsquirt . Cheaper and way sturdier. You may have to change the wheel and trigger also. I use a Nissan VR trigger on a Ford 36/1 wheel .

Please look at the data. Current lap records and many wins belong to the LBC. The 1275 goes very well, the 1300 Spit goes well. The newest cars , the Toyota and the Mazda 2 are a little light IMHO, but the data says that they are close to my VW. Our board keeps it pretty tight even tho I...

    Rick Haynes

Censorship sux. Transparency would be very good for the club. There seems to be lots of funky book keeping within SCCA , It would be nice to know what really goes. on. Rick is very on point and persistent. Not very politically correct maybe .

    Runoffs Observations .

I have to say that the SCCA parts of the Runoffs were very agreeable . From the friendly faces at Registration to parking . Everyone was very nice and helped make our week very pleasant. Our parking was directly across from the stewards house and they moved their cars so that we...

    EFI for all cars ?

Wandered Runoffs paddock. The LBC car's drivers are as old as the cars . Maybe the next gen of racers may be more interested in the carbed cars if allowed to swap to EFI. The power would be very close and most testing has shown that carbs make more power due to charge cooling . But the...
