2025 Mike Cummings H-Production Invitational

The 2025 Mike Cummings H-Production Invitational will be held at Mid Ohio on August 9-10 during the OVR regional/bonus majors race weekend.

*** New in 2025 *** Thanks to Mike Kelley and his hard work, this is also going to be a MARRS points race in 2025. Hopefully we can drag out some of the WDC crowd to join the fun, and get us to 40 cars this year! For the first time, the event will NOT be the same weekend as the VSCDA Grattan finale, so maybe a few of that crowd will join too.

I'm still working to get live streaming and broadcasting of our races. To make this happen, we need sponsors and/or other classes to pitch in and help with the cost. Anyone out there have a business that would want to sponsor this???

Once again, the event will feature an extended Sunday feature of 20 laps (or X min if there's BFA/FCY). We will also get a Sunday victory lap, a group photo on the track, Sat night BBQ, dedicated paddock spot, etc. The HPNPC will be giving away a free entry to the race, and if we get to 40 cars, a second free entry will be given.

There will likely be a test day on Friday again, and I'll be giving away a free twilight test (3 x 20 min sessions) to someone who registers before the early entry deadline (details TBD).

This has the promise of being the biggest and best HP Invitational yet!!! If anyone wants to help with the planning, coordination, or execution of the weekend, please let me know!

Once again, the HPNPC will be giving away a free entry AND a free Fri evening twilight test at the Captn Mikee Cummings H Production Invitational on Aug 9-10.

There are 3 requirements to be eligible.
a) Be a HPNPC member (registration closes 3/31) - Link: Sign Up
b) Complete the "Intent to Register" on MSR prior to 5/31 Link: Register
c) Register early for the actual event - on or before 7/11 - link will be added when event goes live on MSR.

If we get to 40 entries, a second free entry will be given away during the podium ceremony for Sunday's event.

Reminder... to be eligible for the free entry and test day drawing, the intent to register form linked above must be filled out by 5/31.

For those attending the HP Invitational next month, we will again be doing a potluck dinner on Saturday night. Swag chief Ruth Ann has offered to lead the grilling duties this year for us!

I'm going to get the event signup going, so people can sign up for bringing things. Burning River Woodworks will be supplying the world famous Hofmann Hotdogs and a keg of Phoenix Brewing Company beer. Their Oktoberfest was a hit last year, so I'll try to get that again if it's available.

Please sign up early, so we know what all we will have... and don't forget to register for the race before the end of the day this Friday 7/11 to be eligible for the free entry and free test day. I will draw for the test day and announce the winner on Saturday morning.

PS - I will only send the event signup to those who are registered so you won't be spammed. We're currently at 20 entries... A good dozen people that indicated they are coming haven't signed up yet, so I think we'll have 30-40 cars again. I apologize that OVR is charging your card at the time of registration, I have no control over that... so I understand registering later on, but the sooner you do, the more you will help me out in the planning for the event.
